When events collide to create brilliant brand exposure

Yahoo Academy, which was introduced to the media industry more than 12 years ago, is now renowned for developing the media industries brighter minds.

Yahoo, a a leader in their field saw an opportunity to create a program and connect with agency partners in Australia and Asia. In true Yahoo culture and vision, the program was designed to embrace and inspire top young talent.

A strategic decision was made to host the program in 2023 in tandem with Advertising Week Australia. This enabled the cohort to attend, connect and network with the industry’s leading senior minds, as well as attending Yahoo Academy onsite, for an immersive and innovative experience, the previous day. 

Internationally acclaimed, multiple award-winning strategists, Faris & Rosie flew in from the United States of America to deliver a a thought-provoking keynote, and interactive creative workshop, showcasing their creative direction and writing skills, to lead the famous ‘pitch off’ for the industry’s favored charity mood tea. 

The setting for Yahoo Academy was transformed into a brand activation for the Speakers’ Lounge at Advertising Week. Inspired by the personality of the playful Yahoo brand, the Speakers’ Lounge at Luna Park created a haven for keynote individuals to relax, rehearse and be physically and mentally prepared for the Advertising Week stage. The Lounge also offered an activation for those chosen to engage in professional headshot sessions for LinkedIn. 

The event space was designed with the visual cues to reference Yahoo’s signature colours and style, and to capture the embodiment and fun nature of the brand. 

Inspired by the personality and playful Yahoo brand, the speakers lounge at Luna Park created a haven for speakers to relax, rehearse, and have their and make up done for the Advertising week stage.
